Ringing in the New Year with some olds
omg HI2U!! haha… it’s been a mad few days, so sorry about the lack of updates. it looks like i will be doing a whole week and a half straight without a break now, at least, because we are severely short staffed. MORE DOUGH FOR ME!
Christmas was full of little surprises, and one big one. Sarah, my friend from Jurong Institute (or year 11/12) dropped in with little notice, and spent a weekend and some with me. I was so full of work and stuff to do though, that i could only afford 1 day and so with her. unfortunately, i was also too tired to spend those few sparse hours, and we both ended up sleeping in rather than do touristy stuff. GIVE ME MORE WARNING NEXT TIME LA, CAN!?!? stupid woman.
the total haul (including from me to me!):
- a violin (no pink, but purple, for warranty reasons)
- a panda pajamas ^________^ (love you too Sare!)
- more pink pajamas (sigh lala land hints…)
- a Princess Diana Concert DVD
- a POOH BEAR!
- some chocolates ^_^
- a couple of books
- Christmas wishes from dad (this means alot to me simply because… it’s a sign that he accepts my being in a different religion)
- a Pooh Clock
it’s not very excessive this year, but i don’t really care. i had a nice time sleeping in, and then had Sarah to come home to for a while - it almost felt like i was back in senior high.
So here’s my New Year’s resolution for this year:
- get out of any remaining debts.
- get fit! (isn’t that coming up on all the lists i have made this year? :p)
- sleep more! i think, after talking to Sare, i realised how little rest i have been getting recently ^_^
- start completing what i have never finished. through out my life, i realised that i give up too easily. isn’t it so easy to just run away…? there are some things i can’t or won’t go back and do, but there are some i can easily fix up and complete. and i shall start with music and languages
here’s to getting there finally. - Get organised - the house, the schedules, maintaining an organiser properly and mailing out things at the right times for the right things (erm, x’mas cards for the year they are meant to be mailed out :p)
- get back into volunteering - no more building schools though… the last concaved wall probably collapsed >.>
- Read more books, especially what I like.
- dress up more!
- eat right!
- SAVE MONEY!
That’s it. for now. i think. this list might just get impossible if i list much more.
here’s to a better year than this year for everyone ^_^ what’s your resolutions, darlings?
