bath tub loving

bath tub loving

yes this sounds dumb, but i am still new to this wi fi thing @ home. thus i am trying out all possibilities, such as sitting in my bath tub and typing this…

i woke up just. i know, pretty late huh… i think that’s my new record, at 16 hours. like i said, i was pretty wiped out yesterday. originally, i was too tired to sleep.

sounds crazy, but thats the truth, and i am sure some of you have experienced it before. my feet hurt, my back ached, and yet i couldn’t sleep. i even walked hom yesterday due to some fuck up at the bus stop.

i saw a bus ok,935 or something, and i asked, do u go to O’Connor?

the guy was like “no, i am sorry, i don’t. 300 does tho.”

i was tired, a little physically out of it too, since i haven’t done anything near the idea of physical activity for a while now. so i walked off the bus, a little glazed.

it’s not that i dont know what transport goes to my homes. but past a certain time, action bus had a program called flexibus, where the bus driver can pop u off near ur doorstep, as long as it’s along their route. it was my first time needing it, since i was rarely out late or out late with no one to bring me home.

so i waited for 300 for abt 20 mins or so. boarded the bus, and in my semi dead tone, i asked, half lost if he’s going o’connor.

“no i drive along barry drive and up”.

….

barry drive is about 1km or so from my home, which isn’t so bad, but the point was i was tired and the reason why i wanted to take a bus, was more because i was tired than the fact that no matter which path i take, i still end up at barry drive area, and have to walk the dark path back.

pissed… i just walked all the way back, a good 2.4km or so.

then i eventually passed out after talking to poor lonely jason till 6am.

yer so waking up at 10pm is no biggie. except my body still aches all over from running to work, during work and walking back from work ^_^ fairly unfit huh…

this bath… shall soothe me… soothe me… complete with making me fall asleep that i may drown in my very own bath tub muaahahhah

Working – Day 02

Working – Day 02

ah 2nd day at work, and i almost worked till closing time. i guess their priority is not to tire out the newbies, so i was sent home earlier than the rest again, but i am thinking, not by alot.

to start off the day, i thought i was late. my watch and my mobile phone clock have been both set forward by about 10 and 5 mins each respectively. it’s just a habit that i always had, and my previous clocks were set forward by 15. anyways, so there i was at the bus stop waiting, not remembering how much forward did i set the clocks. then i was like “oh fuck it.” and ran to work, because both clocks somehow showed that i have missed the bus. -.-

although i arrived “late” on my own clocks, i was actually… early. -.-

and nobody really noticed anyways. i rushed in, changed into my apron and stuff and went out started clearing tables and stuff. the usuals. i was so hyped up about being question by Trainer, that i was just a little wrung up, because i still can’t recognise foods straight off. i have a fair idea how they look out, but that’s it.

so imagine my… irritation when i realised she wasn’t there. i was like “nooooo… all that anxiety for nothing” lmao.. still it was a great thing i made an effort to remember table numbers and stuff from day 1, so today, alot of things are simplified for me by myself, other than when it’s so busy, i somehow managed to forget.

i met my store manager for the first time today. nice friendly chap, waved hi to me when i first ran in to the lockers. there were some new faces today though, but somehow they have already heard of me (of course there is also the fact that my name is on the roster… and i am the only new girl working today).

a few things happened today, more customer related than anything else. they weren’t like very negative shit, but you know, customers can be a pain in the ass too. let’s try a comparison for a start.

there was a table with a baby. babies being babies, they can get fairly destructive. which is fine. the entire family left the table in a gigantic mess, more so because there was a baby than because the family was a bunch of bad eaters. infact, the mess was generally around the baby chair.

then i went over to a table where a bunch of partying people were. probably all in their 20s. the pile of mess they left behind, were the same as the baby’s, except it’s for 6 people. aka, instead of 6 people, it was like having 6 babies. and they left a comment “we robbed the next door restaurant! the food was salty! not value for money! bad atmosphere!”

seriously. u throw food at each other… that’s probably why they were salty. coz they slided off someone’s face. probably chalked with make up too.

one girl got all twitchy 15 mins after she ordered. she decided she didn’t want to see blood from a medium rare steak, and wanted it to be more cooked. most restaurants try to get food on your table within 20 mins. while i tried to change her order, it was too late. it just came out. so she started poking and poking at it, watching the blood ooze out before saying “that’s fine really ^_^”

-.-

one other table had this huge guy who eats like linxy…. he reminds me of guys from movies “i want to buy a round of drinks for those chicks there” and points to a table of 2 ok chicks with some pretty blue and pink drinks (no i don’t know my drinks. duh. i don’t drink alcohol except root beer. :P ). however… the sad part was… the chicks rejected the round and left immediately *sniggers* :( i am so mean…

the best part about tonight was the rounds of birthdays celebrations. one of the guys that came in was celebrating his 21st. now, to be honest, i think most people actually celebrate their 21st. but i never really celebrated my birthdays with my family, which makes me bitterly happy at times when i see people celebrating theirs. of course i am jealous, but i am also happy for them. u know, the show of how much people cared and love you :)

anyways, the birthday plannings were mostly done by his bro and mum. behind his back, they bought him a CUTE look LONG train. it was made totally out of chocolate and other candies, with lollipops sticking out of the carriages. wish i could show u the picts, but sadly no camera + privacy/confidentiality issues heh… thus the no namings of my company.

anyways… there was a few candles on the carriages itself forming 21 candles. and then a seperate lot of candles at the head if the train, doing a… mirrored image of 21 (12). it was so beautiful we just stood there and look, awed partly, jealous partly, and of coz helping his mum lit the candles. he didn’t know anything abt it :D

most of the time, i am such a klutz though. i am assigned food running and cleaning up. i feel so bad though, because most of the time, people have already cleaned up or have sent out the food. the shitty thing is, we are supposed to listen for a bell which meant food is ready for pick up (for an entire table), and half the time i have a bell going off in my head again and again, only to realise that there wasn’t any food. yet when there were really food…

i couldn’t hear it.

-.-

plus after some time, the plates were freshly dishwashed… they were HOT. i scalded my fingers on the plates a few times, bore with it,come back, pick up, go back. fingers are numbed now lol!!! not to mention that i was trying to fish out spoons to clean, because i need the bucket to clean the forks and knives too… fingers got scalded again -.-

i am predicting by the end of my working time here, my hands would be like my mum’s. hard, calloused and rough as hell. wait, i can probably kill people too with it’s texture! woot!!!

i am loving it. of course, there’s the money, but what’s money if there’s no happiness in earning it anyways ^_^
