I moved on a tuesday, and to be honest, i didn’t know if waifie would like it. he was working when i went to view it, and because of the various tight angles, i couldn’t take good pictures of the place. when we went to sign the contract, the other tenant was still there, so we couldn’t pop in to have a quick look as well as check out the laundry area, which i didn’t see the first time because it was so tiny – it barely fitted our 4.5kg washing machine and stuff.
the problem was, and i don’t know if it’s mine or theirs, i was sure i left a message asking them to either leave me the keys, or leave it behind, or something, so i can get my stuff on tuesday. didn’t happen. so now i have to find a cheap/free way to get my double bed and shit out of there or i be flooring it for a while. waifie doesn’t know how to drive, and i am not sure who else i can ask… a friend disappeared on me while offering to help -.-”
but when waifie walked into the house on tuesday, he was absolutely floored. “i love it!” he was just gasping every time he walked in, “you’re a genius!!” ^_______^ yay, he likes it!
With waifie, everything seems like a good fusion of familiarity and unknown. i mean, i don’t know him before work, not much of him after work, and yet i have fun with him at work and throw food at him and such. it’s not exactly living with a stranger or with a friend. he’s given me a lot of room to do whatever i want to the house, rooms, etc.
he unpacked most of the stuff (since he has way more than me anyways) whilst trying to help me unpack mine when i worked. i just gave him a few vague instructions and he managed to work on it. i have also kind of worked out that he’s better at cooking than me (duh!) so we are kind of splitting duties – he cooks, i clean. yer! or he can do both and i just give him moral support by uhm… stabbing him!
and see, weeks of viewing houses gave me a really warp sense of size and shapes. so for some odd reason, i kept thinking the house was a lot more dingy than it really was, and a lot smaller. so, on tuesday, i guess i was equally taken in by the house as waifie was. it was a lot bigger than my estimation for some reason, and the garden and front porch was a lot bigger too… wait everything was bigger!
now, we are just missing a dining table, a couch and a rice cooker ^_^ and i think we are all set. the walls are a little bare, but i think i can spruce it up with a tonne of bookshelves – which we need anyways. both of us apparently love gaming and reading o.o he’s got way more games than he’s told me. there’s, like, a box about a meter tall, just filled with games. and it’s the first box of 3 i think. ooo and he’s got a dvd, and a ps2 ^_^ i was just a little offended that the removallist laughed at my hello kitty toaster -.- wtf mate? it’s a working toaster ok?
i think the only thing that disturbed everyone was the amount of softies i have
will put up picts of the house soon
