surviving life

i was asked to fire someone the other night, as part of my job scope, apparently. it didn’t go down too well with me, particularly when the girl started crying. i can see why it was unfair: her car broke down, she could not find another form of transport that would have brought her to work in a timely manner. besides, she just moved - how would she know how to get home?

after sending her to chat with my boss: in her anxiety, i think she misunderstood my boss, whom, allegedly, told her that he honestly thought she was just blowing off the company. she could stay if she thinks she could work as a part of the team.

whatever it is… it sucks to take away someone’s job from them.
