It’s not just me :S
Sorry for the lack of cheerful insane posts that’s some what a trademark of me. i am going through a hard time, duh, and am slowly trying to come to terms with it.
for those who have been trying to contact me at my uni email, it’s been shut off. you can still get me on gmail though, the link is on your right.
i don’t know if this was a treasure find, or something that God sent my way. as i sat in the car on my way back from KFC earlier tonight, this song was playing. it sound so much like the questions i am asking myself when i am alone and is forced to face myself. so i started hunting for the song via the singer’s name.
What a surprise that i found. this song, Untitled (How could this happen to me?) by Simple Plan, was made for a anti drunk-driving campaign. in a dry way, it’s funny how it suited the entire situation perfectly.
here’s what Simple Plan had to say:
“We’re extremely proud to present you our brand new song and video called “Untitled (How Could This Happen To Me?)”. This song is a very personal look at what happens when tragedy hits close to home. We wanted to make a video that was as powerful and as special as the song was to the five of us.
Over the last few years, a lot of people we know have been involved in tragic accidents caused by drinking and driving. One of the students at our high-school crashed his car driving back from a weekend trip and killed his best friend. It was a very sad time that none of us will ever forget.
When an accident happens, there are more victims than people think, and many lives are changed forever…Parents, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters, grandparents…everybody feels the impact.
We wanted to tell a story with this video: the story about all of the innocent victims affected by drinking and driving”
Enjoy..
