ah ok, so I have another lapse in posting. woopee deedoo.
In the last couple of weeks, I have re-discovered wow and Aion. Still don’t play as much as I ever did, but I am more involved I guess than I was in the past 9 months. of course, the re-discovery also involved a re-discovery of how pugs are even more fucked now on WoW and how Aion has more level-capped people than my pathetic self hahaha.
in fact, because they have screwed up so much for pugging, it’s now pretty much open to cross server pugging (so that no one can whine that their server population can’t support the existence of pugs), thereby increasing the chances of idiots so terribly that should you stay and complete with 50 of them, you get a bloody title and a pug. yeah, a dog thing. wth LOL.
Also, having my Kindle domesticated me. I can’t even begin describing how many books I have read now in the past 2 weeks. I completed eye of the world, deja dead, twilight and am part way through The girl who played with Fire. at the same time, the related Kindleboards got me thinking about everything else that’s not related to it. Like mixers and blenders. So, I have gone out now and ordered a blender and got a mixer to try cake making.
And.. you see the above hand sewing? OH YEAH BABY, THAT’S ME! I SEWED SOMETHING, AND IT’S ALMOST STRAIGHT AND EVENLY DISTRIBUTED! you might think, wth, with a seamstress mother, surely I have something in me that can freaking sew? nah, nah man. all those years of home economic classes? in cooking, i food poisoned my teacher with semi raw prawns. in sewing, i broke the sewing machine’s needles. my mum ended up making all my sewing projects for me while i flunked cooking exams.
gawk again, ladies and gentlemen. I might not be able to reproduce that again.
This interest in sewing has been inspired by the need to have a quilt. see, i saw one in Kingston Markets for like, 280 or something along those lines. nice big quilt with a morose Owl. and I loved the owl. I probably won’t be able to replicate it, but I suddenly feel like I need a damn quilt anyways – and a rocking chair – and I can’t afford it for the size I want (preferably a queen size bed hahaha). Etsy produce a charming amount of quilts costing a minimum of 30 for small lap quilts to about 120 bucks for a double bed size quilt.
so what next?
make my own.
I am not surprise about the pricing though. perhaps my mum always get good deals or something. for 50 bucks, she comes home with a few BALES of cloths. for a meter at Lincraft here, I am looking at about $10 i think, for cotton materials. I managed to haul a couple of yards off Etsy for about $40 though, and have invested in an actual sewing machine for christmas – courtesy of chrisco. but hopefully, in a year’s time, I have practised enough sewing to death on some scrap materials to make my own quilt.
with hello kitty on it, HAH!
I have been cooking alot, mainly looks like this:
oops, i mean like this
been really lazy, so who cares about presentation. I did get a new bento box from Jlist though, the cheap cheap one, because while I love my woody bento box, it’s beginning to be quite boring looking at the same old box. and Onigiri making annoys me.
oh and I am making many mental sketches of “my future home”. I think I am getting a little retarded. no where close to getting a house yet, but mental sketches? ah, stupid interior designing and Ikea dreams hahaha
