Resolutions, resolutions

This was last year’s resolution. The essentials were, keep fit, relax, have more time for self, go for health checks.

Did I managed to do everything? Relaxing happened sporadically, but otherwise, I failed ^_^v*

For those following my line of thoughts since god knows when, here’s everything in a nutshell (or much as a nutshell it can get)

- I got another change of job, and one that truly genuinely followed my dreams. It wasn’t a job that came with plenty of perks, titles, glam or even $$. It was just a job that followed my heart. it also ended up with me getting more than half my pay cut. However, for a while, I can live with that.

If you think about it, even though the job at times is stressful, hectic, drives me nuts and makes me want to pull out my hair, working in a job I want and enjoy makes this perhaps the best and most relaxing year ever.

- Keep fit… ah. I religiously went to the gym for about 3 months. This was instantly more successful than the previous years, I will tell you that much. but then, asthma and winter crept in, and now it feels like a chore considering the amount of heaving and moving I do at work….

- Relaxation: Well. For the first 3 months of this year, I was in a good enough job and role to have some form of de-stressing plans. and then all hell broke loose, and it wasn’t so anymore. infact, I will cut it down to the first month really, before the bullying at work started. Despite that, thanks to the Kindle, thanks to friends, thanks to a whole bunch of people, I have had more enjoyable days off than I have ever had.

I have read more books this year than a few years combined, i have had days out with friends I had never imagined I would and I found a couple of wonderful people to be parasitic to. What more can I ask for?

- Save money? well, with the huge pay cut, I could hardly afford much at the moment. I splurge on a monthly basis on myself regardless, because I deserve it. but looking back, I guess that was hardly a mature decision. oops.

It is a little early to decide what my new year would be like, and what it would bring. I foresee another tumultous year, and why not? so here’s another load of list that is hardly going to be different from the last – with a slight twist.

- Read 120 books (!!!!)
- Go gym twice a week at least (the showers are worth it anyhoooo)
- save some $500 a month (my heart is breaking at this target T_T)
- Learn to bake again HAHAHAHA (well really, I know how to bake. but I can’t seem to make these butter cookies I was so good at. Actually, they were “modified” muffins, that became butter cookies, but even then!!)
- Learn to sew (and thusly make full use of my mini hand held sewing machine!)
- Give less into impulses!
- Stand up for myself more (tell idiots they are idiots. Then again, some people need maturing)
- RELAXXXAAA

By the way, did I mention that LUSH has awesome soaps? <3

5 more days to a new year!!!! *clink*

(fuck it’s 2010 already. wth, I am growing old!!! what happened?!?!)
