Things I can’t live without

January5

I was utterly intrigued by this trending topic on Twitter some time ago- mostly because people could simply draw ONE thing or two out quickly and I couldn’t. some were simple and sweet, like “the woman who birthed me! thanks mum!” or “my mascara” or even “my dogs!!”. However, I sat down there going, “oh, it’s my iphone. wait, what about my shower gel….? nono, my po chim!!”

So here’s a little insight, I guess, to me! Well, the material side of things anyways :)

Some of the things I can't live without....

1) The Iphone – First and foremost, is obviously the iphone. Since I was 10, I couldn’t go anywhere without my music, and then I got my mobile. then I got myself into using a camera. By about 4 years ago, I had go just about anywhere with my ipod, mobile and camera.

While the iphone is definitely a shit camera, I don’t shoot anything of consequence. Instead, it combined the 3 things I used to lug around seperately into one. Yes, I had phones which can store music before, with better cameras. The unfortunate thing is, I never got to enjoy them. Nokia’s headset used to literally ZAP my ears. as to how or why, I don’t know. :)

oh, and the best thing? when I work with certain residents, it is also a form of entertainment for them – and this include letting them watch anime!

2) Contour Pillow, bolster (po-chim) and a blanket of some sort – Everyone needs a mattress and a pillow. I need a contour pillow, a bolster and definitely a blanket. Otherwise, it’s a sleepless night for me.

3) my computer/laptop and it’s peripherals (not including a printer/scanner) – I play games. I use internet. I am hook on both. enough said.

4) a nice shower gel – aside from the obvious, I have a huge obssession with shower gels. at times, I have been known to own about 5 different shower gels at one go. I don’t know why, I don’t shower more than twice a day, but I like them shower gels and I always spend hours hunting for the “fresh out of shower smell” of the moment.

5) Shampoo – Redken’s All Soft when I can afford to splurge, Pantene’s daily moisture or something when I can’t. I was once told that I have got a face only a mother could love (or, in my case, my dad). So I stopped caring about my outward appearance sans taking care of my hair because all the girls in class were in love with how soft it was.

As such, despite how “surely this is part of all girls’ list” this may seem, I don’t have a certain regime like some people :D

6) Moisturiser – I have dry skin, I try and maintain moisture. I ended up buying truckloads of moisturisers on a yearly basis but forgetting to use them XD Pictured above it Crabtree and Evelyn’s Gardener’s Hand Therapy. My hand’s the dryest, but their hand therapy, plus moisturiser (not pictured) works WONDERS I tell you. WONDERS!!!!

7) Perfumes – I don’t use them often, I collect the bottles. but just like shower gels, I like to smell good. thus, they exist, otherwise… I don’t have a scent on me and for some reason, I find the neutrallity of it all quite disturbing. I MUST have a signature scent! At the moment, it’s that Anna Sui above. All time favourite is still Lolita Lempicka.

8 ) My Franciscan (tau) Cross – I don’t wear it much anymore coz work asked me not to for safety reasons. I left the original one in Singapore, but it’s a constant reminder of my faith and how everyone supported me through my initiation :D

9) Recipe Books –

Shepherd's pie training

I like experimenting with my cooking. but not everyone likes my taste (which can range into the extremes sometimes). Thus, I need them if I intend to cook. and I adore them!

10) my kindle!

10 things… geez. I will never be able to survive on an island ~.~
