oooerrr yet another great weekend passed. Thanks to Mark, I am getting around Canberra and seeing it from various places. Obviously, I suck at being a tourist, so half of those things that I ever intended to see kind of fell out of the plans.
That, and the fact that unless I have a car, a good portion of those tourist sites are hard to get to anyways. and no, I still haven’t passed my damn road worthy shit.
To be honest, some of these picture taking ideas started out as pictures to take for my dearies who miss canberra/anu in general. I know how it feels, and I rarely get out of canberra myself. Sad huh? In comparison to the hustle and bustle of city life though, Canberra is a nice in between. Not too quiet and rural to drive anyone nuts, yet not too far away from the conveniences of a city life so that it’s hard to do most things.
I like it.
Not that Canberra doesn’t have her own problems. I am sure Sheetle won’t forget her bhangra night experience (where there was a knifing), nor would someone I know forget how she was almost robbed at knife point by 2 big boys. Like every town, city or village even, there are problems here – just not as pronounced as a large city would. I reckon Canberra probably rank the lowest in crime rates.
Most crimes were committed by ducks, just ask sheetle!!!! I think they hate me now anyways. Like a good paparazzi i chased them down for multiple photos….
As for nightlife, I never had a taste for them when I was younger, except to dance. And now, without my khakis to dance with… I have no virtually no nightlife. Gaming doesn’t count ok!
And just another word of thanks, my camera has been somewhat kidnapped. so all these pictures were brilliantly done by mark’s canon. Sheetle, go bow and thanks to him.
Go!
Next week: a possible trip to Gus’s, so as to hao lian. bahahaha
